Below are some of the respiratory and lungs disorder that is common.
Asthma
In asthma is known to be a chronic disease and an individual swells, the airway becomes narrow, and there is a production of extra mucus. It may happen due to the chemical in the air or food, respiratory infection, animals, change of weather, and animals.
One may experience shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightening, and cough. It is known to be treated with two kinds of medicine that are; long term control medicine to prevent symptoms and quick-relief medication.
Eczema
This condition is caused by the dryness of the skin, and some of the common symptoms include; itching, dryness, redness of the skin and swelling.
In most cases, the respiratory and lungs disorder are found in families with the history of hay fever and asthma, and it mostly appears on feet, face, hands, and knees
Chronic lung diseases
In U.S lung diseases is one of the common medical conditions due to genetics, smoking, and infections. The two types of lung disease include; restrictive lung disease and obstructive lung disease.
When air passage gets blocked, and the results decrease the exhalation of air flow, it is known to be obstructive lung disease. Example includes emphysema, pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis that are caused by the blockage of lungs and asthma.
The results of restrictive lung disease are the decrease in the ability to transfer oxygen into the bloodstream and loss of lung tissues. Examples of some disorder include pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer.
Sleep apnea
It is a nighttime disorder that is known to affect both men and women of all ages. If the disease is not treated early, it can lead to other health problems like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, depression, weight gain, and high blood pressure.
Common sign and symptoms include; long pause in breathing, awakening with dry mouth, morning headache, loud snoring, and daytime sleepiness.
Sinusitis
When one has a cough and thick nasal discharge, facial pressure, nasal congestion, rhino sinusitis one is considered to have sinusitis. It is known to be an inflammation of air cavities that is within the passage of the nose that is caused by an infection and other problems like chemical reaction and allergies.
Sinusitis is of different types like sub-acute sinusitis, chronic sinusitis, recurrent sinusitis, and acute sinusitis. Some common symptoms include; pain in the sinuses, sinus headache, cough, fever, sore throat, nasal stiffness, and facial tenderness.
Cystic fibrosis
It is genetic, and it is universal. Cystic fibrosis mostly affects sex organs, sinuses, lungs, pancreases, and, intestines. In most cases, the symptoms are based on the severity of the disease.
The symptoms include; liver disease, foul-smelling, diarrhea, frequent cough, dehydration, severe constipation, liver diseases, and gallstone. The doctor will determine the result like a sweat chloride test if one has the disease or not.
Pneumonia
It is caused by parasites, virus, and bacteria which affect a person’s lungs. It is known to a contagious disease, and it can spread through the air. Some of the common symptoms include; diarrhea, cough, feeling very weak, vomiting, shortness of breath, fast heart beat, and fever.
Angioedema
It is a swelling that occurs most in sub mucosal tissues, mucous membranes, subcutaneous fat, and dermis. The common cause includes; insect bite, drug allergy, sunlight, exposure to water, heat and cold, foods, animals dander, and pollen.
Symptoms include; abdominal pain, urticarial, swelling of the face, and itchiness on the swollen areas.
Hives
It is allergic to skin that is caused by raised, itchy, and red welts. It will depend on the side from small to significant and common caused include; stings, foods, insects, and drugs.
In most cases, it is diagnosed by visual inspection, and they can appear anywhere in the body, including tongue, face, throat, and lips.
Gastroesophageal reflux
It is a digestive that involves the burning of sensation that runs from the stomach to the throat. Some common symptoms include; dry cough, difficulty in swallowing, heartburn, sore throat, unpleasant sour taste in the mouth, and loss of appetite.
Some of the risk factors include; smoking, obesity, and pregnancy. Some of the habits that can help in its treatment involve quitting smoking, changing eating habits, and also weight loss.
