Different type of Obstructive Respiratory Disorders
These Are disorders which are grouped as respiratory disorders whereby a patient experience blockage in the airways during respiration.
Those who suffer from this disease have difficulty in exhaling air from the lungs, airway obstruction and also easily collapse.
The following are some of the obstructive respiratory disorder
Chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD): It is known to be a group of different lung diseases like emphysema, chronic obstructive airways disease, and chronic bronchitis.
Cause: The primary purpose of COPD is smoking, which destroys and irritates the stretchy fibers in the lungs. Another common reason is the use of cooking fire, and there is no proper ventilation those will be exposed to pollution, chemicals, and fumes.
Symptoms: In most cases, it affects people in different ways, and some of the common symptoms include; frequent respiratory infection, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chronic cough.
Bronchitis: It comes from bronchitis that is known to be an infection of the mucous membrane of the bronchial tubes that carry air to and from the lungs.
The two types of bronchitis include chronic bronchitis and acute. Acute is known to be very common, and in most cases, it develops from the other respiratory infection and cold
Causes: The common causes include toxin gases in the workplace, smoking, and air pollution.
Symptoms: The symptoms include; fatigue, cough, slight fever, discomfort in the chest, cough, and shortness in breathing.
Asthma: It is a common chronic disorder that makes breathing difficult in a person.
Causes: Some of the common causes are tobacco smoke, air pollution, weather condition, hereditary cause, and allergic rhinitis.
Symptoms: Inflammation, mucus formation, and bronchi are known to trigger asthma condition such as chest pain, shortness of breathing, coughing, and inability to perform daily work properly like talking and walking and also wheezing.
Emphysema; it occurs when the air sacs in the lungs are destroyed. It is grouped in a group of a disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
It is known to be obstructive respiratory disorder because of the exhalation of the airflow is stopped that is caused due to over inflation of the air sacs in the lungs.
Cause: It is caused by long term exposure to air pollution and tobacco smoking.
Symptoms: the most common symptom is shortness of breathing.
