The comedian James Acaster did not plan to do comedy as first choice. He on the other hand undertook Music as his major and also tried to make career out of it, but fortunately did some comedy practice in his free time. And as he understood that he can make people laugh, he felt confident to become a full time comedian. It is a popular saying,”Nobody knows what they want to do until they are doing it.” and James happens to be a living example of these words.

James was born on 9th January 1985, in Kettering, Northampton, England. Not much is known about his family until now. He went to Montagu Secondary School, Kettering, which happened to be his hometown and later decided to study Music. For his major in Music he attended Northampton college in UK. James does not have a very bulky strong build, he happens to be a small guy weighing what normally any English man would weigh.

Not everything comes easy, sometimes we have to struggle a lot for somethings. Similarly, James too had a rough patch in his relationships. In early 2010, he was in a relationship with Louise Ford but the couple separated ways soon.

Two years later it came as a shock for James, when a newspaper reported that his previous partner had an affair with Rowan Atkinson, known for his comic role as Mr. Bean, was the reason for his break-up. Though a year after James’ break-up, he was seen dating on of his stage mate, Rose Matafeo. Rose was so deeply in love with James that in 2015 she decided to move in with him to UK.

The couple seemed very promising and everyone would appreciate their love for one another. No one, for a single moment doubted that they would ever part and that is exactly what happened. The relationship that looked like a possible marriage ended.

Both the persons did not make it public about the separation until Rose said that James was her “then-boyfriend” with an interview with the Guardian. James too did not keep it a secret anymore when he tweeted that he would like a girlfriend for Christmas and thus making it clear from his side too.

James give his 100% to the music too. To no ones knowledge he was a drummer for Northamptonshire’s local band called Pindrop, The new Hardcore skiffle movement, The Wow! Scenario, Three line whip and the Capri-Sun Quartet. To everyone’s surprise, James, in 2009 performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe along with Nick Helm and Josh Widdicombe, thus, commencing his comedian career.

James has never looked back since then. Recently, he won an award for the most outstanding show in Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has hosted various shows, made guest appearances and performed at multiple venues. He is doing excellent even after 10 years into his career.
