From an early childhood, he had observed his father driving. Ryan won his first race when he started his career from age 9 with quarter midget racing. He later on also won in Bandolero cars, Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Since then he has taken part in amny such race competitions. After two years he also won Orange County Speedway, and in 2009 he had been participating in Pro All Stars Series(PASS) and was awarded as the “Rookie of the Year”.
In 2010 also he was competing for PASS and further won in “Dillon Motor Speedway”, “Greenville-Pickens Speedway “ , “Ace Speedway” and “Newport Speedway”.
To contend in six NASCAR Nationwide Series using Vehicle No. 36 Chevrolet, he signed with Tommy Bladwin Racing which started with “Richmond International Raceway” in which he came as Top 10 and was 7th at finishing point.
In 2012, he joined Team Penske, participated in 2012 National Truck Series with signing contract for minimum 3 years and also won in the Truck Series. He completed his 18th win with the Truck Series “Lowa Speedway” in 2012 for the in Truck Series and he became the youngest player to do so. He had broken the previous record of Kyle Busch of 2005.
