Myles Powell gained fame as a professional basketball player from Seton Hall University. Thanks to his brilliant performance in the college athletic tournament, Big East Conference, he was named the most improved player from his college in 2017 and 2018.
In the over 33 games he has played since 2016 his score have been ever increasing. Except for the 2016-17 period when he only scored 10.7 points, he averaged a whopping 23 points in just 34 games for the 2018-19 period.

In 2019, Myles was drafted to play for NBA but left after a few games, to complete his senior year while playing for Seton Hall University.

Myles was born in Trenton, New Jersey on 7th July, 1997. His parents separated when he was young and was brought up by his catholic mother. He even attended Trenton Catholic High School till 2015.

However, at one point, Myles used to live with his father in Willingboro town, New Jersey in 2012. To this day, it’s unclear whether his parents got back together.

During his time in school, he became a devoted Catholic Christian with steadfast faith in the almighty. According to his mentors while at school, Myles derived his inspiration from the Bible verse ‘I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me’.

Despite Myles having a promising future, things are different for his 28-year-old brother, Noel Powell III, who is struggling with legal issues.

This was after Myles’ brother shot Kevin Smith, a 23-year-old man, in the head back in 2017. This happened at Applebee Restaurant in the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts at 12.25pm.

The athlete’s brother was taken into custody in 2018 after he was spotted by security cameras.

According to the police, a dispute arose between Powel and the victim, leading to the murder. It is said that the dispute involves Myles’ family.

As of now, it is still unclear whether or not Myles’ family is involved in the trial. But, the basketball player’s brother, Powell, is currently awaiting trial at Mercer County Corrections Center.

Myles lost a significant amount of weight during his post-graduate season at South Kent School in Connecticut.

During one of his games, the 22-year-old basketball player, broke his foot and missed a couple of training sessions. As a result, he gained 20 kilograms during rest.

However, the 6 feet and 2 inches Seton Hall player was able to get back in shape after vigorous training and practice. He weighs of 66 kilograms.
