In 1993, Stenhouse began his delve into his sports career by being a kart racer, and earned a whopping 47 wins before moving on to sprint car racing ten years later, in 2003.
He is a full time participant for the NASCAR Cup Series, and currently drives the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for JTG Daugherty Racing. He has been in the racing scene for quite a while now, and has managed to gain a landslide of fame in a short time. In just his first year as a sprint car racer, he won the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCRHF) Driver Poll and Sprint Car Rookie of the Year! He began professional racing in the USAC sprint car series the next year, 2004, and in 2006 won the the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame yet again. In 2007, he won two Rookie of the Year honors. He is also known for performing in American Ninja Warrior (2009), although he didn’t get much farther after the second obstacle.
Even though he had been racing a long time at that point, his big-league stock car racing career only began in 2008, when he entered in the ARCA Racing Series as a beginner. On the 10th of May, 2008, Stenhouse earned his first win for the ARCA RE/MAX Series event. In 2009, Stenhouse began racing for NASCAR. On the 16th of June, 2012, Roush Fenway Racing announced that Stenhouse will drive the No. 17 car in the Series full-time for 2013, replacing pervious racer Matt Kenseth. In 2016, he also guest starred in famous children’s cartoon Milo Murphy’s Law, as himself, along with a few other fellow NASCAR racers.
On the 1st of August, 2019, Stenhouse announced an extended contract with Roush Fenway Racing, which was supposed to go through to 2021. However, just a month later, Roush Fenway announced that Chris Buescher would replace him in 2020. This garnered considerable criticism from both fans and professionals, to which Roush Fenway replied with by saying that their relationship with Stenhouse had run its course. On October 16, 2019, JTG Daugherty Racing announced Stenhouse would drive for them in 2020.
