Solenn Marie Adea Heussaff-Bolzico was born Solenn Marie Adea Heussaff on July 20, 1985, in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. As a teenager, Heusaff endorsed renowned brands like Pop Cola, Kotex, etc. She completed secondary education from the European International School of Manila and took a three-year course on fashion designing in Paris at Le Studio Berçot de Paris, where she also worked and as an intern for bridal designer Fanny Liautard, and as a backstage dresser in fashion shows. Following this, she joined L’école Fleurimont, Paris for six months to learn body painting, fashion make-up and prosthetics, and basics of beauty. Then, she attended the Make Up Forever Academy.

Solenn started learning painting from a Spanish painter when she was 3. She continued learning various art forms until she reached 21. The June 2008 issue of Rogue, had the Filipino model, Joey Mead King on its cover page, flaunting the Philippine flag on her body painted by Heusaff.

Post completing studies, she worked as an in-house designer for Filipino knitwear ‘Queen’, Lulu Tan-Gan, and single-handedly supervised the L’Amour Armor Collection, a knitwear series of Tan-Gan. Heusaff endorsed many popular brands like Century Pacific Food Inc., Axe, Colgate, etc., until 2010, when she appeared as a contender in GMA Network’s “Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown”. Her third-place finish won her a huge fan base. After the show, in 2010, she signed a contract as a VJ with Channel [V] Philippines, film, and television contracts respectively with Regal Entertainment and GMA Network and a music contract with MCA Music Inc., a Philippine branch of the Universal Music Group. Her first project was to co-host the GMA television show, “Party Pilipinas”. In this show, discovering her singing passion, MCA Music released her debut album “Solenn” on July 17, 2011.

She convened her first music concert at Greenhills from August 19 – 26, 2011. She was paired against Richard Gutierrez, both in the drama fantasy series, “Captain Barbell”, and the film “My Valentine Girls”. The GMA News TV show “Fashbook” won her the 27th PMPC Star Awards for TV as an anchor in 2013. She won several awards, including the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies for the film, “Temptation Island” in 2011, 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television for co-hosting “Taste Buddies”, which she started anchoring in 2013 and continues to date. Solenn’s sophomore album, “SOS” was released on August 23, 2013. Two days later, at the launch of “Diva”, her single spin-off track from “SOS”, in the variety show “Sunday All Stars”, she received a Platinum Award from MCA Music, for a record-breaking sale of her debut album. In 2016, Heusaff sold her artworks in auction contributing to victims of the 2013 typhoon “Haiyan” that devastated the Philippines and became brand ambassadors of Lux Perfume Bath and L’Oréal. She also launched two books, namely, “Besties”, co-authored with Georgina Wilson under ABS-CBN Publishing in 2015, and “Hot Sos”, her solo release on health and fitness in August 2016.
