The late Robin McLaurin Williams was a renowned actor and comedian being considered as one of the greatest of all time. Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 21, 1951 at St. Luke’s Hospital to Mr. Robert Fitzgerald who worked as an executive in Ford Company and Mrs. Laurie McLaurin.
Williams grew up in Episcopal faith and had two elder half-brothers Robert and McLaurin. He excelled in school and at the age of 12 he was on school wrestling team and later on elected as the class president. Williams joined Claremont Men’s College in California after high school completion to study political science but opted out to pursue his acting career.

Williams started performing as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco before landing himself a successful film role in Robert Altman’s Popeye. He quickly rose to fame after making appearances in TV shows like eight is enough and The Richard Pryor Show and became widely known as the alien Mork. Over his lifetime he played roles on different comedy and dramatic movies like in World According to Garp (1982) and Good Morning Vietnam (1988).

Williams suffered from cocaine addiction in early 1980s, he lost his friend John Belushi due to excessing drug consumption the next morning after the two had spent the night partying .He then decide to quit drugs following the birth of Zachary his son. He later started drinking in 2003 and registered himself in to a rehabilitation center three years later.
Williams was hospitalized following a heart problem in 2009 March where he was to undergo surgery on his aortic and mitral valves and correct his heartbeat. Periods before his death Williams was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease on his early stages but later on after his death, autopsy revealed that Williams was miss diagnosed as he had been suffering from Lowy body disease. His conditions ranged from anxiety, insomnia and stress.

Williams body was found hanging in 2014 August 11 after committing suicide in his home California, Paradise Cay. Later on his body was cremated and ashes scattered at San Francisco Bay a day after. The final autopsy results concluded that Williams died of asphyxia following suffocation during hanging. No drugs and substance abuse were present.
