Born Aaron Charles Rodgers, December 2nd 1983 in Chico, California. Rodgers was born to loving parents Darla and Edward Rodgers. Edward the chiropractor from Texas also had a football career and played for the Chico State Wildcats from 1973 to 1976 as an offensive lineman.

Due to Edward Rodgers work commitments the family moved to Ukiah, California. This is where Rodgers and his two older brothers attended Oak Manor Elementary School.
Edward Rodgers encouraged football and other sports in the family home. His encouragements to his boys would be to work hard and party less to ensure a fruitful sporting career. Aaron listened to his father’s advice and enjoyed several sports in his school years. Little did Rodgers senior know he had just given his son the advice of his career and it would shape him to be one of the highest paid players in NFL history.
The Rodgers family, in 1997 went back to their roots of Chico and Aaron attended Pleasant Valley High School. Pleasant Valley encouraged Rodgers in the quarterback position and helped him break Valley High school records. However, his record-setting high school career did little for Rodgers and attracted minimal interest from Division I programs. 2005 saw Rodgers place in the NFL Draft where he had been expected to be placed early by the team he loved and grew up watching, the San Francisco 49ers. In a stroke of luck, they had number one pick that year in the Draft and were looking for a quarterback, Rodgers thought it was him. However, the 49ers chose Alex Smith from Utah instead. Later in life Rodgers explained the anguish he felt at this experience and his reaction to slipping down to 24th overall pick when the Green Bay Packers saw an opportunity. However, this experience would become one of the most talked about Draft moments in NFL history, teaching Rodgers invaluable life lessons that he still holds to this day.
