An extravagant and extraordinary Traffic Racer who set the car to flight whenever he gets seated. Timothy Jason Plato was born on the 14th of October in 1967, age 52, in Oxford.
He is British by nationality. Currently he is competing in British Touring Car Championship for power maxed racing. Interestingly, Plato is a qualified pilot and brand ambassador of Augusta Westland Helicopters. He got his schooling from Chilling ham Road Primary School and King’s School Tyne mouth. Besides this he also runs his marketing agency named as Brand Pilot Ltd.
Jason Plato Career As A Racer
Jason who is pilot by his upbringing and skilling molds himself into a racing driver and brought the attributes of flying into car racing. He started his racing career in1989 with kart racing and in 1990 with formula 3 racing, Formula Renault UK and Renault Euro series, due to his potential and remarkable capabilities he won these in 1991. His next win came up in 1996 with his participation in Renault Spider Championship. This was his debut in this league and he won it with ease. Plato debut win earned him knowing in the domains of highly skilled racers of that time in which Frank Williams was included. Plato got a chance against him and with no surprise Plato won because of his talent and exceptional racing traits which he brought from his pilot training. After that Plato took part in three Renault racers and stands out first in two of them.
In 2000s Plato moved to Vauxhall Racing and secured 5th place in the championship. With climbing the ladder of success Plato moved British ASCAR stock car scene in 2002, where he stood 2nd. He participated in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 2004 and made his position as a leader. In this racing championship Plato finished 4th with only three wins under his belt. Plato performed well in the BTCC championship and finished in the top 5 in each championship position. In 2007 the diesel-powered racing he went for 2nd overall in his privateer BMW.
Plato in 2009, entered into Ray Mallock Ltd (RML) Chevrolet Lacetti and become the only second driver beside Dan Eaves to win all three races with a win including a close margin of 0.0015 sec. Overall, he finished 2nd in the championship with a lag of 5 points from the winner. Plato remained with the same team till 2011 with record 61 victories.
From 2012 to 2014, Plato participated in MG KX Momentum Racing and secured 3rd positions in the year 2012 and 2013. With his ability of constant improvement he got up to 2nd position in 2014.
17th October 2015 was the date when Plato joined British Motor Racing (BMR) based in Bunting Ford. He registered six victories during this year but unfortunately he could not close out on a title by just 4 points. He finished the 2016th season in 12th place with an unfortunate accident that happened to his car. 2018th seasons even got worse and scary for Plato, change in car’s engine didn’t support his performance and he ended up with only 26 points on 27th place. On 20th February, Plato announced joining Power Maxed Racing.

Plato has two short of 100 wins in his career. He has won the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) twice in his career, once in 2001 and other in 2010. He also has Renault Spider Cup in his name in 1996. His achievement also includes Formula Renault Euro Cup in 1991.
