During Kirby’s 29-year career with the United States Navy, his services involved tours as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Media Operations, U.S. Navy’s Chief of Information, and Pentagon Press Secretary all the while taking part in advising and articulating national security policy for some of the most historic issues of the day.
